Overview
Our Mission:
To revolutionize the way homecare is delivered, one patient at a time. As a Collections Specialist here at Aveanna, you would be responsible for following up with invoices that have been sent to payers but have not yet been paid. You would also be responsible for researching denials and converting them. We are looking for someone who can confidently reach out to commercial insurance companies, navigate portals, and provide organized, thorough, and ethical work.
This role is extremely important to the company, as it ensures we receive the funds needed to stay operating and providing care to our patients!

- Able to process a minimum of 5 claims per hour
- Able to manage a portfolio of payers, ensuring collections, aging and denials are being processed in a timely fashion
- Comfortable with assisting with billing efforts by eliminating denials and keeping payer rules up to date
- Able to meet daily, monthly and quarterly Collections goals that have been set by management
- Ability to maintain a quiet, dedicated workspace that is free of background noise and ongoing distractions
- Ability to participate in virtual meetings with a professional, camera-ready presence
- Ability to demonstrate strong time-management skills, as well as accountability and self-direction
- Must be able to operate off reliable, high-speed internet
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a call center environment
- Minimum of 1 year’s experience in the medical industry/ familiarity with medical terminology (preferably with DME and Home Healthcare)
- High-school diploma or GED
