Role Summary
Based in Virginia Beach, VA, the Medical Specialist I-Dermatology engages dermatologists and other key customers with clinically focused sales messaging. The role is fast-paced, results-oriented, and customer-focused, requiring high integrity and alignment with our values. The position involves travel to cover large geographic territories and manage Dermatology accounts within the region.
Responsibilities- Developing strategy and executing tactics within key accounts in the Dermatology therapeutic area
- Establishing and fostering strong working relationships with health care professionals, including nurses, office staff, and patient advocacy support groups
- Collaborating with regional colleagues and other field-based and home-office personnel to proactively address customer needs
- Analyzing market dynamics and trends to develop strategies which support brand and corporate objectives
- Engaging in initiatives to promote sales success such as industry congresses, local and regional meetings, and medical conferences
- Required:
Bachelor's degree - Preferred:
Master's degree or other advanced education/certifications - Required:
5+ years of specialty pharmaceutical/biopharmaceutical sales experience - Required:
2+ years selling in the Immunology market or a similar subcutaneous self-injectable biologic specialty market; dermatology experience preferred - Required:
Proven success and consistent sales performance in complex markets across diverse customer segments - Required:
Ability to travel and cover large geographic territories; candidates must reside within the listed territory
- Strong collaboration with internal and external partners
- Ability to connect work to the overarching brand strategy and adapt to changing priorities
- Knowledge orientation and proactive learning about disease states, treatment options, and healthcare trends
- Ethics and compliance orientation in all activities
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Master’s degree or other advanced education/certifications preferred
- Travel: ability to travel and cover large geographic territories
- Residency: must reside within the listed territory
