Position: Neuropsychiatry Access Navigator – Central
Location: Lake Dallas

Role Summary

Biogen is seeking a dynamic Access Navigator to join the US Neuropsychiatry Franchise. The role focuses on ensuring patient access to products and delivering a positive customer experience through education on script fulfillment processes. It is remote-based with regional scope, serving as the subject matter expert for reimbursement, prior authorizations, coding, and distribution models related to therapy administration for postpartum depression, collaborating with Neuropsych Account Managers and other teams to educate and support account stakeholders on access, reimbursement, and fulfillment processes.

Responsibilities
  • Engage with account decision-makers, healthcare professionals, and support staff to deliver educational information that facilitates patient access and reimbursement for PPD therapy.
  • Educate stakeholders in key accounts involved in the script fulfillment process on script submission, pharmacy routing, prior authorization navigation, and setting fulfillment expectations with patients.
  • Identify opportunities to improve fulfillment processes in collaboration with account stakeholders.
  • Act as the subject matter expert on reimbursement, distribution options, and payer policy coverage criteria relevant to customer practices.
  • Collaborate with Neuropsych Account Managers, Trade, Payer, and Patient Services teams on script fulfillment issues to support pull-through and timely resolution.
  • Organize and lead virtual and in-person access and reimbursement presentations to key account stakeholders, leveraging knowledge of payer trends and reimbursement practices.
  • Serve as the regional reimbursement resource for key accounts, providing guidance to avert or resolve issues and support patient access along the journey.
  • Promote a culture of compliance with company policies, laws, regulations, and industry standards.
Qualifications
  • Required:

    BA/BS, preferably in Business Administration, Communications, Healthcare Management, or Marketing.
  • Required:

    7+ years of access and reimbursement experience with proven success in field reimbursement, clinical education, or pharmaceutical account management, with emphasis on limited distribution networks and controlled substances.
  • Required:

    Comprehensive understanding of reimbursement models (coding, coverage, payment) and ability to locate applicable coverage policies for Commercial and Medicaid.
  • Required:

    Advanced expertise with e-Prescribing and Prior Authorization processes.
  • Required:

    Specialty Pharmacy, HUB, and/or Patient service model experience, including experience with financial assistance programs.
  • Required:

    Proactive problem-solver with strong interpersonal skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Required:

    Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills for diverse audiences up to executive level.
  • Required:

    Remote role with travel (~80% virtual, ~20% in-person).
