Overview
This role will have an impact on Ambulatory work: patient access to care, patient throughput, patient and provider satisfaction and revenue. This position will work closely with the Contact Center, the Quality Improvement Program Coordinators, Ambulatory and Medical Administration, and Information Systems to utilize lean practices to optimize scheduling, throughput and meet organizational goals. The Manager of Ambulatory Capacity Serves in a leadership role to oversee the design, monitoring and maintenance of scheduling templates across Ambulatory.
This position ensures patient-centric access to services are delivered smoothly, efficiently, and timely. The Manager collaborates with clinical and operational leadership to identify and proactively mitigate issues which create barriers to Ambulatory access and patient flow. The Manager of Ambulatory Capacity and team supports patient care access by designing, building, and managing the scheduling templates of physicians, advanced practice providers, and other clinical operations.

- Provide leadership for and oversight of schedule templates.
- Utilize data in decision-making, to ensure templates and capacity management techniques are optimized.
- Create template standards and partner with divisions on best practices.
- Collaborate with clinic staff and leadership to align capacity management with organization goals and explore capacity limitations/opportunities
- Bachelor's Degree and
- 5-7 years experience
- Experience in a healthcare setting.
- Scheduling and/or ambulatory operations preferred

Starting PayOur pay ranges are market competitive. The pay range for this job begins at $41.57/hr, but your offer will be determined based on your education and experience.
Remote Work/Work from HomeThis position is not eligible to work remotely, which means that the person hired will be required to work onsite at one of our Children’s Mercy locations and may not work from home.
