Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Oncology Data Specialist (Tumor Registrar) to support cancer registry operations through accurate data abstraction, coding, and reporting. This remote contract role plays a critical part in maintaining high-quality oncology data in compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards.

Required Qualifications

• Oncology Data Specialist (ODS) Certification (required)
• Associate’s degree or equivalent (60 college-level credits)
• Minimum one (1) year of experience in a Cancer Registry
• At least two (2) years of experience using computer software programs, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and internet-based applications

Preferred Experience & Skills

• Familiarity with EPIC EMR
• Strong attention to detail and data accuracy
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills

Additional Information

• State license not required

• Candidates must be W-2 employees of their staffing agency

Certifications

• ODS Certification (required)
• BLS/BCLS, ACLS (as applicable)
