Account Manager
The Account Manager (AM) at Guide Star Eldercare (GSE) is responsible for vertical sales within the Heads in Beds initiative, working with existing contracted long‑term care facilities. The AM also manages the implementation of GSE services at newly contracted facilities, addressing any questions or concerns that may arise. This customer‑service oriented role involves building relationships with existing customers while performing audits, educating facility staff, scheduling clinical visits, and assisting with marketing outreach and presentations when requested.
JobFunctions & Responsibilities
- Work in a schedule reasonably set by GSE.
- Meet vertical sales goals for the Heads in Beds initiative, growing referrals and building client relationships.
- Maintain reliable transportation between home and all assigned facilities in the sales region.
- Manage implementation of GSE services at facility sites.
- Provide education to facility staff regarding the referral process and informational materials.
- Serve as liaison for clinician‑facility interactions, introducing providers to key staff and expediting onboarding processes.
- Develop client service improvement strategies with regional, clinical, marketing, and operations teams, leading implementation.
- Serve as primary GSE contact for facility staff, maintain up‑to‑date records of contacts, conduct soft surveys of customer satisfaction, and track and trend client issues.
- Perform services almost exclusively at independent facilities such as nursing homes and assisted living facilities; daily travel by car may be required with approximately 5–10% overnight stays.
- Meet established monthly vertical sales goals for the Heads in Beds initiative.
- Conduct audits to identify eligible patients within facilities and consult staff to strategize implementation of referral plans.
- Maintain and grow relationships with staff at client facilities.

- High school diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree in Social Science/Social Work preferred.
- 1–3 years of proven successful field sales experience or 1–3 years of administrative experience at a long‑term care facility.
- Proven ability to work autonomously with little direct supervision.
- Excellent proficiency in customer service and sales.
- Organized, resourceful, with excellent time management and multitasking skills.
- Availability for remote work or facility events in some evenings and weekends.
- Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Effective and professional communication with individuals at all levels of GSE or client organizations.
- Ability to pass background testing, including motor vehicle record review and drug screening.
- Valid driver’s license and active auto insurance policy.
- Reliable transportation within assigned region without reasonable limitation.
- Drive 2–4 hours daily between home and assigned facilities; must drive in the dark.
- Transition between stationary positions and moving within facilities; the occasional need to position self for items under or behind desks, open/close doors, operate a laptop, climb stairs, and transport supplies up to 10 lbs.
- Constant communication with facility staff, clinicians, and GSE corporate office (marketing, clinical leads, scheduling).
- Engage in audits and in‑person conversations; perceive information on device monitors and road signs.
The role involves traveling to assigned facilities in all weather conditions and driving in the dark. While not driving, the position works in a temperature‑controlled facility with a quiet to moderate noise level. Normal interaction with employees and patients occurs throughout the work area.
