We are seeking a dedicated, compassionate, and experienced Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to join our dynamic mental health team. In this vital role, you will provide individual psychotherapy to adult clients with mood and anxiety disorders. Our team consists of several therapists, 2 MD psychiatrists and 3 PAs who work in close collaboration to ensure clients get the best possible care. We also offer innovative interventional treatments like TMS therapy and Spravato. We are an established practice with over a decade of service to Anne Arundel County clients with BCBS, Cigna, Tricare and Medicare.
Duties:
Conduct thorough patient assessments including intake interviews, diagnostic evaluations using ICD-10 and ICD-9 coding systems, and ongoing mental health assessments. Provide individual therapy utilizing modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, and specialized approaches like DBT or EMDR as indicated. Develop tailored treatment plans that incorporate social work principles and trauma-informed care (including PTSD care).
Manage case documentation with meticulous attention to HIPAA compliance by maintaining accurate medical records using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including physicians, physician assistants, and other psychotherapists. Facilitate psycho educational groups focused on mental health awareness, behavioral health management, or social skills development.
Extensive experience in psychotherapy techniques including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, behavioral therapy, and motivational interviewing. Proven ability to work effectively with adults in outpatient counseling settings. Proficiency with EMR systems for accurate data collection, medical documentation, patient records management and CPT coding procedures. Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to mental health conditions and psychiatric diagnoses such as ICD-10/ICD-9/ICD coding systems.
Skilled in intake procedures, diagnostic evaluation processes, case management strategies as needed. Ability to handle complex cases involving PTSD care and treatment resistant depression populations with sensitivity and professionalism. Strong communication skills for engaging patients across diverse backgrounds while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
