Location: St. Louis

Overview

Hybrid, In-Person, and Remote Opportunities Available. St. Louis Behavioral Medicine Institute (SLBMI) is seeking Licensed Professional Counselors and Licensed Clinical Social Workers with expertise and a passion in the area of OCD/anxiety disorders. We are committed to growth and are always looking to hire exceptional talent to join our team of dedicated healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities

Shift: Monday–Friday, dayshift. Onsite & Remote work available. The Center for OCD and Anxiety-Related Disorders Program (COARD) provides specialty evidence-based assessment and treatment for a full spectrum of anxiety and obsessive-compulsive-related conditions. Treatment is provided within both a traditional outpatient behavioral health setting as well as an Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP). Therapists carry their own outpatient caseload and may also provide treatment to patients within the IOP program if desired.

Outpatient caseloads are tailored to the therapist s areas of expertise and clinical interests. Therapists within COARD may treat anxiety/obsessive-compulsive disorders exclusively or may treat conditions outside this domain (e.g., eating disorders, health psychology-related conditions). Therapists regularly engage in professional consultation and education with COARD team members in a collaborative environment.

Note:

Local candidates in MO preferred but not required. Eligible candidates located outside the St. Louis region may join via telehealth; such candidates must be professionally licensed in Missouri. Our clinicians enjoy the autonomy of being independent providers while having administrative and operational support. SLBMI s multidisciplinary team of 70+ colleagues share clinical expertise for case consultation, continuing education, and program development.

If your clinical experience is more general and your knowledge base is not as specialized as our programs, consider our Specialist-in-Training option. Details below.

Specialist-in-Training Model

Our Specialist-in-Training model is a transitional plan of training, typically six months, meant for Licensed Providers who need additional training within their program s area of specialization prior to being considered a specialist. The time includes reduced minimum caseload with weekly supervision, assigned reading, didactic sessions, enhanced treatment planning reviewed by your supervisor, and attendance of open supervision and cross-program discussion.

Other activities may be possible to enhance skills broadly and within the specialty area. For both models, revenue generated by your cases that exceed your base salary guarantee will be assigned to you, allowing earnings…
