Position Overview:
Hamlet Therapy is seeking a dynamic, self-motivated clinician to join our Washington, DC location. This role offers the opportunity to work as part of a highly skilled and collegial team of therapists who are passionate about making a meaningful difference in clients’ lives. The clinician hired will work closely with one other team member at the DC location, and collaborate regularly with clinicians and leadership at our Manhattan office.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments, develop treatment plans, and maintain accurate clinical documentation
- Provide majority individual psychotherapy to a caseload patients
- Lead or co-lead a therapy group (most likely a Radically Open Dialectical Behavior Therapy (RO DBT) skills class, for which you will receive training if you are unfamiliar with the material
- Collaborate with colleagues and other providers (i.e., psychiatrists, school counselors, nutritionists, etc.) to support high-quality, ethical, and evidence-based care
- Participate in team meetings and group supervision meetings
- Maintain compliance with all ethical, legal, and professional standards
- Contribute to a positive, supportive, and growth-oriented workplace culture
Qualifications:
- Master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field
- Training in evidence-based models of treatment, such as CBT, DBT and/or RO DBT
- Candidates who hold a license in Washington DC are preferred; however, we will also consider pre-licensed clinicians with strong training
- Experience working with adolescents and/or adults in a clinical setting
- Strong clinical, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Ability to work in person at our DC office a minimum of 2 days per week
