Vertical Therapy provides in-home, intensive activity-based and exercise therapy tailored to individuals with varying types of paralysis. By combining principles from personal training, physical therapy, medical therapies, sports rehabilitation, and fitness training, the company helps clients improve their health, independence, and quality of life. Services include a broad range of therapies such as range of motion (ROM), functional electrical stimulation (FES), developmental exercises, gait training, and neuromuscular re-education.

Vertical Therapy proudly supports individuals impacted by paralysis in the Greater Seattle, Bellevue, Tacoma, and Everett areas, bridging the gap for those with limited transportation options.

Role Description

This is a full-time hybrid role for an Exercise Specialist based in Bellevue, WA, with the flexibility to work from home on occasion. In this role, the Exercise Specialist will develop and implement tailored exercise programs, support clients in meeting their rehabilitation and fitness goals, and maintain accurate progress records. Daily responsibilities include conducting in-home therapy sessions, monitoring client progress, and using techniques such as gait training, strength training, and neuromuscular exercises to improve client outcomes.

Qualifications
  • Expertise in Group Exercise and Cardiac Rehabilitation techniques
  • Knowledge of Exercise Physiology and Exercise Prescription methodologies
  • Proficiency in Strength Training and its application to rehabilitation and fitness goals
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively engage with clients
  • Ability to adapt personalized exercise plans based on client needs and progress
  • Certifications such as ACSM, NASM, NSCA, or equivalent are a plus
  • Bachelors degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, or related field preferred
  • Previous experience working with individuals with physical disabilities or paralysis is highly desirable
