051) – SACRAMENTO, CA. The position reports to the UC Davis Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center (ADRC) Administrative Director in the Department of Neurology. This position supports basic and clinical research and investigators in the ADRC. Incumbent will supervise a team of research data analysts and applications programmers, act as a bioinformaticist/biostatistician on a variety of projects led by investigators, in addition to providing general statistical support.

Incumbent will manage and oversee projects to include data cleaning, statistical analysis, creating summary reports, participating in discussions with researchers, participating in publication of papers in scientific journals, and helping to write proposals for future funding.

• Bachelor's degree in statistics, biostatistics, or related field
• Minimum 1 year supervisory or team lead experience
• Experience in scholarly publication and/or grant preparation
• Experience working collaboratively in a research environment either in a university or industry setting
• Proficient in SAS or R software
• Good organizational and time management skills
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Working knowledge of databases
• Working knowledge of modern biology and applicable field of research
• Ability to lead and supervise technical staff
• Knowledge of bioinformatics methods, bioinformatics applications programming

• Master’s degree in statistics, biostatistics, or related field
