Little Masters Development Center is a NYS Early Intervention Provider Agency.

We are seeking Certified Occupational Therapists and Certified Occupational Therapist Assistants (COTAs) who are licensed in NYS to provide direct services to young children ages birth to three years old through NYC’s Early Intervention Program.

Job Details

Responsibilities Include:

  • Delivering services to children birth to 3-years old in a center-based setting
  • Developing creative programs and activities for children with developmental disabilities to improve social and cognitive functions
  • Encouraging the child’s participation in goal-oriented activities
  • Developing Treatment Plans to address child’s needs and help meet specific goals
  • Working closely with families to provide information and skills necessary to enhance the development of the child
  • Assessing the school/home environment if possible and recommending adaptations to improve independence and wellness
  • Working with families and other service providers to achieve a child’s IFSP or EIP goals
  • Participating in IEP meetings and other meetings as needed
  • Providing services in home, school-based, and daycare centers
  • Daily data collection
  • Maintaining regular progress reports and attending meetings related to the child
Requirements:
  • Certified in New York State as an Occupational Therapist
  • Certified in New York State as an Occupational Therapist Assistant
  • Early Intervention Occupational Therapist experience: 3 years preferred
  • Experience writing session notes and reviewing IFSPs preferred
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Good technical skills and the ability to learn new databases
Education:
  • Master’s Degree (Required)
Preferred:
  • Bilingual a plus
  • Experience working in home-based programs, schools, or daycare centers
