Sentara Norfolk General Hospital's Emergency Department is a 53-bed unit. Our Trauma One Facility is equipped to handle a variety of medical emergencies, and approximately 10% are Trauma related. The department is a Lantern Award recipient from the Emergency Nurses' Association, recognizing exceptional leadership, practice, education, advocacy, and research.
Education- Associates, Bachelors, Masters, or diploma in the Nursing Field required
- Virginia or Compact Multi-State License in good standing
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- ACLS
- PALS
- TNCC
- NIH Stroke Scale
- Must have 2 or more years of recent acute care hospital Emergency Room RN experience
