About the RoleWe are looking for a Senior Support Worker, full time 37.5 hours a week.
Our person-centred approach means you’ll have the time to really connect with Dave, building meaningful relationships and helping Dave live their best life. Everyone’s unique, and we believe in empowering them to live life on their own terms. You'll work a mixture of shifts to support Dave, who is transitioning to his new home. Dave enjoys the simple pleasures in life: walks in the community, trips to local shops, and swimming.
He thrives when he is surrounded by familiar, trusted people who help him feel safe, reassured and in control of his day.
- Be a role model and mentor for your team, providing day-to-day leadership and support
- Help people with daily routines, including personal care, cooking, cleaning and shopping
- Encourage and enable people to take part in hobbies, access the community and live life on their terms
- Help embed Mac Intyre’s DNA kindness, creativity, honesty and contribution into everyday practice
- Assist with rotas, compliance, and on-call duties to ensure smooth running of the service

About You- Experience supporting people with learning disabilities and/or autism
- Confident in taking the lead, mentoring others and managing shifts
- A natural communicator with empathy, resilience and a good sense of humour
- Committed to person-centred approaches and positive behaviour support
- Willing and able to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, bank holidays and sleep-ins
You must be a driver with a manual licence, as you will be driving service vehicles.
