Baptist Urgent Care is looking for a dedicated, compassionate, and experienced Area Manager to join our dynamic healthcare team in Starkville and Columbus, MS.

Baptist Urgent Care’s walk‑in centers offer a range of healthcare services including treatments for injuries and illnesses, occupational health and wellness care.
Centers are open seven days a week:
Monday‑Friday 8 a.m.–8 p.m., Saturday 9 a.m.–5 p.m., Sunday 1 p.m.–5 p.m. All centers are Accredited Care Centers – a designation from the Urgent Care Association.
The overall operational responsibility for the business functions of the assigned centers (multi‑site, with no more than three assigned centers) to ensure service quality, financial results, optimum utilization of resources, efficient delivery of services and a superior patient experience.
Key Responsibilities- Evaluate patient flow through the center to ensure appropriate utilization of business resources.
- Monitor wait times for the center and manage the workflow accordingly.
- Identify opportunities to increase business and scope of services provided by the center.
- Ensure high team member morale and a professional, effective, and efficient working environment.
- Participate in administrative business operations meetings as scheduled; counsel, discipline and/or recommend termination of team members as necessary.
- Own performance results in regards to patient experience, patient volume, financial results and service standards.
- Serve as the communication liaison between the home office and all center team members.
- Understand workflow and function of all positions.
- Effectively serve as a fill‑in on all positions qualified for, when absences or patient volumes warrant additional help.
- Serve as the subject matter expert for training and systems (e.g., Ulti Pro, DocuTAP, Health Stream, Front Desk processes and Occupational Health).
- Implement the policies and procedures from the Home Office. Follow all operational guidelines.
- Responsible for Occupation Health sales and grassroots marketing of your center with support from the home office service line leaders.
- Practice and adhere to the Code of Conduct, Mission and Value Statement.
- Previous experience working in a healthcare environment; management experience required.
- Working knowledge of workflow and scheduling.
- Must be able to maintain a highly structured environment.
