We are seeking a full-time experienced Nurse Case Manager interested in working with injured workers and workers’ compensation cases to cover Albuquerque and Santa Fe, NM, and surrounding areas.

A Field Case Manager role is a home-based position with travel up to 2 hours one-way (four hours round trip) to doctors’ offices, hospitals, and other locations. This individual is responsible for the medical case management of work-related injuries, including assessment, planning, coordination, implementation, and evaluation of injured/disabled individuals. The Case Manager works with insurance carriers, medical care providers, attorneys, employers, and employees, and closely monitors the progress of the injured worker and reports results back to the employer and insurance carriers.

Qualifications:

• Current, unencumbered registered nurse (RN) license in NM
• Experience in workers’ compensation catastrophic case management is preferred. This may include:
  1) Critical care or catastrophic injury/illness case management, and/or disability management;
  2) Clinical experience in acquired brain injury, spinal cord injury, multiple trauma (including amputation), and/or burns
• Recommended certifications (CCM, CRRN, CDMS, CRC). REQUIRED within two years of date of hire
• Ability to occasionally work outside of traditional business hours (evenings or weekends) if needed to meet the needs of the claim
• Skills:
  
  organization and timeline adherence; PC and technology; communication (written, verbal, interpersonal)
• Valid driver’s license, and good driving history
