Credentialing Specialist

• Credential and re-credential various providers, including physicians and healthcare organizations, according to applicable specifications
• Maintain and update the credentialing database
• Assist with coordinating the credentialing committee
• Process, track, and file credentialing applications within established standards
• Respond to internal and external customer inquiries regarding credentialing status

• Minimum educational requirement:
  High school diploma or equivalent
• At least 2 years of credentialing or provider data experience
• Ability to comply with all policies and standards
• May require a valid driver's license and car insurance for travel
• Strong customer service skills and attention to detail

• Medicare/Medicaid experience is highly preferred
• NY residents are highly preferred
• Experience in member services or claims processing
