What You’ll DoAs a Mental Health Therapist at Kolmac, you will be at the center of patient care—building strong therapeutic relationships and delivering high-quality, evidence-based treatment. You’ll lead therapy groups, facilitate individual sessions, and contribute to integrated treatment plans within our collaborative treatment environment.
Clinical Responsibilities- Provide individual and group psychotherapy for adults.
- Work in person at our Washington, D.C. location from 12:30-8:30 PM with a flexible one-day option to work from home.
- Develop and maintain person-centered, trauma-informed treatment plans.
- Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments and level-of-care determinations.
- Educate patients on diagnoses, treatment approaches, and symptom management to support insight, empowerment, and recovery.
- Design and deliver engaging process, psycho educational and skills groups focused on emotional regulation, coping skills, and mental wellness.
- Collaborate closely with psychiatrists, nurses, and fellow therapists to provide integrated mental health care.
- Participate in treatment team meetings, case consultations, and discharge planning.
- Case‑management services such as, but not limited to, coordinated care with families, referral sources, and external providers as appropriate.
- Demonstrate commitment to excellent patient care, which is measured through clinical outcomes such as patient retention, attendance, successful program completion, and transitions from one level of care to another.
- Provide crisis support through a shared on‑call rotation.
- Complete clinical documentation accurately and timely.
- Other duties as assigned.
The ideal candidate will hold an advanced degree in psychology, social work, counseling, or a related field, and be an active, licensed mental health therapist in Washington, D.C. Experience with adult populations, trauma-informed care, and group facilitation is highly desirable.

Salary: up to $100,000 annually.
Incentive compensation: eligible for additional commission-based compensation tied to clinical group participation and engagement. Therapists earn additional compensation for each participant in their assigned therapy groups.
Total compensation:
With consistent group census and strong clinical outcomes, total annual compensation is up to $100,000, with the potential for high performers to earn more.
