Role Summary
The Medical Specialist, Dermatology (MS) will report to the District Manager, Dermatology and be responsible for engaging Dermatologists and other key customers within an assigned geographical universe, presenting clinically focused selling messages to create and grow revenue, and consistently delivering product goals. The MS will demonstrate strong and consistent sales performance that exceeds forecast and expectations related to product goals, in a compliant manner with integrity following all policies governing the promotion of pharmaceutical and biologic products in the US.
Responsibilities- Develop strategy and execute tactics within key accounts in the Dermatology therapeutic area to generate product utilization.
- Develop strong working relationships with Dermatology experts, Dermatologists, nurses, office staff, and other health care personnel, and patient advocacy groups as directed.
- Collaborate with regional colleagues and other field-based and home office teams to address customer needs, market dynamics, and trends; develop strategies supporting brand and corporate objectives.
- Participate in and help lead initiatives to support sales success (e.g., industry congresses, local and regional meetings, medical conferences).
- Required:
Geography is Phoenix, AZ. - Required:
Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree. - Required:
Specialty pharmaceutical/biopharmaceutical experience with at least 5 years of pharmaceutical sales experience, including at least 2 years selling in Dermatology or a similar subcutaneous self-injectable biologic market. - Required:
Ability to travel and cover large geographic territories.
- Required:
Bachelor’s degree. - Preferred:
Master’s degree or other advanced education/certifications.
- Advanced clinically-based selling skills.
- Ability to train and service office staff, nurses, and office managers.
- Ability to partner and collaborate with internal field teams and alliance partners.
- Travel to cover large geographic territories as part of the role.
