Location: Fully Remote or Hybrid, attached to clinic in Dartmouth, NS.

Salaried and fee-for-service options for part-time and full-time roles.

You will find purpose in this role by:

• Engaging in psychological (diagnostic) assessments to identify diagnoses, level of distress, and functional impairment and recommend treatment.
• Providing psychological treatment for complex conditions such as anxiety, depression, trauma, substance use, and concurrent disorders.
• Working autonomously to provide 1:1 psychological services while integrating with interdisciplinary mental health teams.
• Providing supervision to other psychologists and psychotherapists as appropriate.
• Consulting with other team members and management on clinical cases or practice dilemmas.
• Leveraging novel approaches to mental health service delivery, including adjunct digital therapeutics.
• Bringing unique assessment competencies to a range of applications, from pre-employment suitability assessments for high-risk occupations to diagnostic assessments guiding treatment and psychosocial resource building.
• Consulting with other mental health service team members and clinical interdisciplinary teams.
• Contributing to in-house training sessions and interdisciplinary case discussions.

Education and licensure

• Master’s Degree or Ph.D. in Psychology from an accredited university.
• Current registration in good standing with the Nova Scotia Board of Examiners in Psychology (NSBEP) – competency with adult populations; clinical and/or counseling psychology, health/rehabilitation psychology, neuropsychology.
• Individual professional liability insurance required at time of employment.

Applied Experience

• Conducting psychological assessments with adults for various goals, including treatment planning.
• Providing evidence-based treatments grounded in cognitive-behavioral approaches.
• Working in interdisciplinary teams and with third party payers considered an asset.
• Utilizing telehealth/virtual care methods considered an asset.

Additional Abilities

• Bilingual French and English is a great asset.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Able to work both autonomously and as part of interdisciplinary teams.
• Efficient with required clinical documentation.
• Able to manage a diverse caseload within a dynamic work setting.
