Role Summary
Regional Territory Manager in the Tampa, FL territory on the Gastroenterology Sales Team, responsible for driving product demand in targeted physician offices and key clinics and impacting patients’ lives. Build relationships with healthcare providers and educate about Takeda’s specialty products and therapeutic strategies.
Responsibilities- Support account on-boarding, including education, and procedures.
- Engage in clinical selling activities, delivering the clinical value proposition and advancing customers along a brand belief continuum.
- Support initial clinical educational support and in-service for medical staff.
- Coordinate and support clinical education opportunities and programs for HCPs, such as peer-to-peer discussions.
- Conduct account management activities within GI practices, clinics and outlets as well as independent physician offices.
- Attain sales goals by delivering specialty product volume and other key metrics in the assigned territory; execute franchise and brand strategy with appropriate discretion.
- Establish professional relationships with health care providers’ decision makers, support staff, and influencers to support product use through clinical and business expertise and selling skills.
- Develop and deliver targeted sales messages based on accurate clinical information, using approved materials and discussing therapeutic strategies with decision makers.
- Execute local marketing strategies, leveraging resources and collaborating with team members to enhance results; build customer engagement with key decision makers at local levels.
- Present complex clinical and business information to office- and institution-based gastroenterologists and related audience groups.
- Develop and implement medical education opportunities and sponsor programs to expand healthcare professionals’ knowledge; stay informed on disease states and treatments.
- Strategically manage allocated resources including financials, managed markets, medical affairs, and home office support.
- Required: Bachelor’s degree – BA/BS
- Required: A minimum of 5 years direct selling experience to healthcare professionals in the pharmaceutical, biotech, device or healthcare industry
- Required: Discussing therapeutic strategies to inform and influence decision makers
- Required: Developing and applying clinical and business expertise, and effective selling skills
- Required: Executing marketing strategies at the local level
- Required: Strong collaboration working within teams
- Required: Demonstrated business and strategic planning skills to identify opportunities and adapt to market changes
- Required: Understanding of managed care landscape and its impact on business
- Required: Strong verbal, influencing, presentation and written communication skills
- Required: Reside within or close proximity to assigned geography
- Preferred: Experience managing complex reimbursement issues
- Preferred: Experience in calling on Gastroenterologists
- Clinical and business storytelling with healthcare professionals

- Communication and presentation excellence
- Ability to adapt to changing market conditions
- Bachelor’s degree – BA/BS
- Licenses/Certifications: Valid Driver’s License
- Travel Requirements: Must have valid US drivers license with clean driving record; ability to drive and/or fly to meetings and client sites; some overnight travel required (25-50%), depending on geographic assignment
