This is a casual post with specific shifts offered at delivery locations in Somerset. Example locations may be libraries, sports centres, shopping centres.
The working hours will be mostly weekend and evening opportunities with some weekdays.

What will I be doing?We’re working to improve the lives of people in Somerset – and you’ll be a key part of that. Your day-to-day work will involve:
- Motivating individuals to make and maintain positive health lifestyles.
- Support the delivery of the Community BP programme and related follow-up interventions.
- Partner with a range of organisations and community venues to deliver blood pressure testing
We offer ongoing support, training and guidance to help you be the best you can be. But it will really help if you:
- Be comfortable to engage the public with health promotion topics in a supportive manner.
- Have experience of delivering healthier lifestyle promotion including blood pressure checks.
- Have experience of training e.g. train the trainer or similar in relation to healthy lifestyle promotion.
- Have experience and knowledge of improving health and wellbeing and reducing health inequalities.
- Have the aptitude and confidence for working with a rapidly changing environment including problem solving and an ability to work autonomously.
- Are able to start immediately and able to travel across Somerset in a timely manner to delivery sites along with transport / carriage of equipment blood pressure testing kit and health promotion materials (all items are lightweight ~2-6kg per item but bulky and would usually fit in a car).
