Developmental Therapy Associate

Beacon Services of Connecticut is one of the state's largest providers of home-based Early Intervention specialty services. We are a dynamic organization, providing families throughout the state of Connecticut with increased access to the highest quality services based upon the evidenced based practices.

Our Developmental Therapy Associates (DTAs) are responsible for the implementation and daily oversight of home-based interventions for young children and their caregivers.

Responsibilities will include working with licensed staff on the completion of initial assessments, developing and supporting individual child goals and objectives, and developing and supporting teaching procedures.

• Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree in Education, Psychology, or related human services field
• At least 2 years of experience working in early childhood education, human services and/or related field.
• Must have personal vehicle to travel between clients’ homes and schools
• Must have COVID vaccinations

• Strong communication skills to confidently explain information and converse with families
• Organizational Skills to effectively process, implement and teach programs
• Self-Confidence to take the initiative to approach families
• Achievement motivated to work with families to set and achieve realistic goals

Working Conditions:

• Working in home settings - will require travel to various types of homes

Work Hours:

• Fee for Service
• Sessions occur between 8:00am and 7:00pm
