Primary Responsibilities
- Telephonically engage with Surest members to assess needs and provide the information or resources they need (80% telephonic, inbound/outbound calls)
- Complete Behavioral health assessments
- Help members understand options for treatment and associated benefits. Guide them to available resources when applicable. Engage in decision support and decision coaching conversations
- Assist members with finding providers, navigating the Surest app, or other tools
- Use active listening skills to assess members’ current status and level of activation Tailor conversation to meet member where they are. Offer services and support beyond their immediate request based on their underlying needs
- Develop health goals with the member, if applicable and facilitate connecting them to resources that help them achieve their goals
- Provide expert consultation to other Clinical Advocates on the team or other business units
- Identify and execute process improvement opportunities
- Support cross-functional projects
- Participate in experiments for innovation
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in social work
- Fully Independent licensed practitioner (i.e LCSW, LMFT, LPCC, LICSW or LISW)
- 3+ years of clinical experience including experience providing psychoeducation
- Experience with motivational interviewing
- Proficiency with MS Office
- Proven to be outcome oriented
- Ability to work 8AM-5PM Eastern Time
Preferred Qualifications
- CADC, LADC, or other licensure related to chemical dependency
- Experience in substance use disorder, mental health, autism, gender affirming care, or pediatric behavioral health
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
- Proven ability to work in an ambiguous, fast-paced environment
- Proven comfortable questioning status quo and proposing ideas for improvement
- All employees working remotely will be required to adhere to United Health Group’s Telecommuter Policy
The hourly pay for this role will range from $28.27 to $50.48 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
