Overview
We are hiring immediately for on-call PATIENT SERVER positions at Ascension Mercy Hospital. Address: 500 South Oakwood Road, Oshkosh, WI 54904.

Schedule:
On-call schedule, 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm, days may vary; rotating weekends are included. More details upon interview.
Pay Range: $16.00 per hour to $19.00 per hour.

Responsibilities- Responsible for patient food service on assigned units, including menu selections, tray assembly, tray delivery and pick-up, special requests, and in-between meal food delivery.
- Exhibits a friendly, caring attitude to patients when taking menu selections, delivering trays, and interacting during catering rounds.
- Take patients’ menu selections prior to each meal and ensure dietary restrictions are followed within diet order guidelines.
- Offer alternatives to menu as allowed on prescribed diets, considering allergies, cultural, ethnic and religious preferences.
- Assemble trays according to patients’ selections on tray tickets in a timely and accurate manner.
- Communicate with nursing staff to ensure diet prescriptions are accurate and patients food needs are met.
- Retrieve trays from patients rooms and maintain accurate patient information on assigned units.
- Assist dietitian with monitoring patients who are NPO, on liquid diets, or have a calorie count ordered.
- Follow department procedures for reporting patient-related concerns and protect patient confidentiality per HIPAA policies.
- Maintain a clean, sanitary working environment and comply with health, sanitation, and HACCP guidelines.
- Complete daily, weekly, or monthly reports as outlined in corporate policies and procedures.
- Identify and use cleaning chemicals per manufacturers directions and MSDS sheets; operate equipment according to safety procedures.
- Follow facility and departmental safety, infection control, Emergency Preparedness, and Life Safety policies. Participate in drills as appropriate.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
- Computer skills to operate hospital systems.
