Join Rotech Healthcare Inc. as a Patient Service Technician and become a vital part of our mission to improve lives through home-based medical care. In this role, you’ll deliver and set up respiratory and durable medical equipment for patients in your local community, providing hands-on support and education that truly matters.
What You’ll Do- Drive local routes to deliver and set up medical equipment in patients’ homes.
- Educate patients and caregivers on safe use and maintenance of respiratory and home medical equipment.
- Maintain and troubleshoot equipment to ensure proper function and patient safety.
- Complete delivery documentation and patient visit reports accurately and on time.
- Keep your assigned company vehicle clean, safe, and ready for service.
- Respond to urgent equipment needs and participate in on-call rotations.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and company standards.
- High school diploma or GED (required)
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Ability to lift and transport equipment (minimum 65 lbs)
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Experience with medical equipment or home healthcare (preferred)
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology (preferred)
- Local routes – be home daily while making a difference

QualificationsEmployment is contingent on:
- Background investigation (company-wide)
- Drug screen (when applicable for the position)
- Valid driver’s license in state of residence with a clean driving record (when applicable for the position)
Required Education and/or Experience
- High school diploma or GED equivalent, required
Preferred Education and/or Experience
- Experience with medical equipment, preferred
- One year of related work experience, preferred
- Medical terminology, preferred
- Accurately perform simple mathematical calculations
- Effectively communicate in English; both oral and written
- Interpret various communications (verbal, non-verbal, written, listening, and visual)
- Maintain confidentiality and discretion with sensitive information
- Multi-task with attention to detail
- Self-motivation, organization, time management, and problem solving
- Work independently and as part of a team
- Email transmission and communication
- Internet navigation and research
- Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Office equipment operation; fax, copier, printer, phone, and computer/tablet
- Mechanically inclined for repair and troubleshooting of equipment
- Loading, unloading, and proper tie-down procedures for transported cargo
- Understanding of applicable home respiratory equipment and supplies
- Lift and carry equipment as needed
- Sit, walk, stand, talk, and listen
- Close vision for small print on computer and paperwork
- Lift and transport patient equipment (minimum 65 pounds)
- Face potential exposure to contagious pathogens
- Drive a company vehicle for most of the workday
- Compliance with Rotech Respiratory Protection & N95 Fit Testing Policy, including medical evaluation and annual recertification
- Keep a clean-shaven appearance to ensure N95 seal per OSHA guidelines
