• Entering prescriptions and verifying appropriate information
• Contacting patients, pharmacists and doctor’s offices to resolve claims issues
• Processing prescriptions (from intake to order completion)
• Resolving customer issues; ensuring accurate information is provided
• Navigating computer systems to review and confirm prescription orders and information, ensuring that automated fulfillment is correct
• Manually dispense orals, liquid medications and medical supplies according to standard procedures and protocols
• Maintain dispensing units, ensuring they are filled with correct products and returning items no longer valid due to recalls or supply issues
• Maintain proper inventory and storage of drugs by filling dispensing units and monitoring pharmacy equipment
• Process, pack or ship pharmacy orders, including counting and dispensing medications, accurate labeling and packing for shipment within required time frames
• Receive packages from the receiving dock area
• Assist with inventory management and replenishment as directed by the Pharmacist(s)
• Replenish shipping supplies for the production area

• National Pharmacy Tech Certification
• High School Diploma Required
• Possess current KY pharmacy tech license or ability to obtain license within the first week of start date
• Retail or Hospital Pharmacy experience preferred

Location:

Pharma Cord is located at 11001 Bluegrass Parkway, Louisville, KY. You must be willing to work in this location;
Pharma Cord reimburses tolls if applicable at the frequent user rate. This rate is applied after 40 trips per month (valued at $678.60 per year).

• Regularly able to talk or hear; frequently sit, type, handle or feel; and reach with arms. Ability to type 35 WPM with 97% accuracy is required
• Specific vision abilities required due to computer work. Light to moderate lifting may be required
• Ability to travel as needed
