* ** Job Summary
** Schedules appointments from incoming phone calls in high volume call center format. Processes all necessary registration information and educate patient families of their financial obligations.

*
* Essential Functions:

*** Schedules appointments via incoming telephone calls per Central Scheduling protocols and facilitate intake process for appropriate triage utilizing CHW technology.
* Provide pre-registration support for scheduled services per department guidelines.
* Discusses potential financial obligations with parent.
* Educates parent guardian or patient on managed care process and required authorization needed per CHW policies and managed care contractors. Updates insurance information for accuracy and verifies current/ future eligibility
* Place outbound calls to patient families to schedule and register appointment via work lists found in work queues.
*
* Education:

*** High School graduate or Certificate of General Educational Development (GED) or High School Equivalency Diploma (HSED) required
*
* Experience:

*** 1+ years Customer service experience required
* Experience in registration and/or scheduling preferred
* Epic experience preferred
* Call center experience preferred
*
* Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

*** Requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills in order to serve a variety of people in a fast paced call center environment
* Ability to make decisions based on established clinic protocols preferred.
* Excellent organization and prioritizing skills necessary to work in a fast paced multi-functioned department preferred.
* Proficient data entry skills with accuracy and speed
