Nuclear Medicine Technologist II; Part Time

Overview

Sentara Imaging Center at Sentara Belle Harbour, in Suffolk, VA, is currently hiring a Nuclear Medicine Technologist II for a Part Time, Day Shift.

Hours:

Monday - Friday, 7:00am - 3:30pm.

Work Shift:

First (Days)

• Conducts general Nuclear Medicine imaging of patients, within scope of demonstrated competency under the direction of a qualified physician, to include: positioning of patient for demonstration of correct anatomy/pathology.
• Competent in preparation, dose management and administration of radiopharmaceuticals, radioisotopes, operation of radiation producing equipment, operation of the electronic radiology systems, preparation of patient room/equipment, provides patient and family education and maintains adequate supply inventory.
• Explains examination procedure and discharge instructions to patient and completes departmental documentation.
• Complies with all radioactive activity monitoring and documentation. Performs to all quality control and quality assurance standards as prescribed by all state, federal, and local agencies.

• Trade School degree in Radiologic Technology or Bachelor’s Degree in Nuclear Medicine (Required)

• ARRT or CNMT (Required)

The Advanced Imaging Center at Belle Harbour is located on the campus of Sentara Belle Harbour in Western Tidewater. The center offers imaging modalities including 3T MRI, CT, PET CT, full digital mammography, ultrasound, bone densitometry, PVL (vascular imaging services), non-invasive cardiac diagnostic testing, and digital X-ray.
