Sr Payer Policy Analyst- Remote

• Assist in the development and implementation of policy strategies to support the employer and the laboratory industry
• Act as a liaison between medical directors and payer medical directors on policy issues affecting reimbursement
• Monitor payer policy updates and changes impacting revenue
• Advocate for company positions regarding legislation and regulations in meetings with trade associations and coalitions
• Communicate developments and updates through periodic reports and appropriate internal and external channels

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year institution and 5 years of relevant work experience (or 7 years of work experience if no degree)
• Strong preference for candidates with an advanced degree (MBA, JD, M.A. / M.S., CGC, RN)
• Relevant experience in genetic counseling and prior authorizations
• Experience with insurance guidelines and payer policy
• Familiarity with healthcare revenue cycle processes such as coding, claims, denials, and appeals

• Prior work experience in a clinical or business setting
• Experience working with state and federal agencies and commercial insurance payers
• Strong network of contacts with policy makers for Medicare Contractors, Medicaid Payers, and Commercial insurers
• Ability to collaborate with third-party groups affected by healthcare regulations
