OverviewRadiology Assistant responsible for patient support, equipment setup, patient transportation, academic collaboration, and quality improvements in a hospital setting.
Responsibilities- Greets visitors and screens incoming telephone calls.
- Follows organizational policies and procedures.
- Assists with patient transport, records, specimens, and equipment to designated areas.
- Supports cost‑efficient delivery of care and continuous quality improvement programs.
- Prepares rooms and ensures cleanliness; sets up necessary equipment.
- Assists with preparing patients for procedures and diagnostics.
- Maintains confidentiality of all records and relays information to appropriate staff.
- Supports patient and family teaching; reinforces safety and comfort.
- May participate in training of other radiology technology aides.
- Performs other related duties as required.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a hospital setting preferred.
- Strong people skills.
3:00 p.m.–11:30 p.m.
Physical & Environmental RequirementsMedium: lifting up to 50 lbs, carrying up to 25 lbs, standing, walking, and occasional sitting. Exposure to blood‑borne pathogens, chemicals, electric shock, and varying temperatures. Personal protective equipment may be required.
