Precertification Coordinator

• Obtain prior authorizations and communicate with patients about co-pays due
• Contact patients and families to gather essential demographic and insurance information
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure smooth operations

• High School Diploma or GED
• Minimum 6 months experience in customer service or a healthcare environment
• Proficient in PC knowledge and possess strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
• Ability to work in a self-directed manner while interacting with consumers and healthcare staff
• Demonstrated ability to work with multiple databases and software applications

• Associate degree and at least 1 year of experience in a Patient Revenue role
• Familiarity with medical terminology and payer requirements
• Experience with Windows, Excel, and internet navigation tools
• Proven ability to communicate clearly with the healthcare team
• Experience using automated databases for management and reporting
