Location: Thomasville, NC – Thomasville Medical Center

Department: Behavioral Health Therapy

Per Diem – PRN (as needed, days and wknds; 8 hr. shifts)

• Master’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or related field.
• Minimum of two years' experience serving individuals with mental health and/or substance use disorders.
• Current licensure as a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Clinical Psychologist.

A Day in the Life:

• Conduct thorough patient assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Implement therapeutic interventions and coordinate appropriate follow-up care.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic patient care.
• Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to ethical standards.

• Education: Graduate degree, Master's in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling or related field.
• Experience: Serving individuals with mental health and/or substance use disorders.
• Licensure/Certification:
  • Licensed Clinical Mental Health Clinician, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, or Clinic Psychologist (required).
  • For Substance Use Therapist roles in Intensive Outpatient (IOP) and Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) and BH hospital-based departments, a Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist or Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist Associate is required.
  • NC state approved curricula for restrictive interventions within 3 months of hire. Remote positions are exempt. Outpatient clinic staff exempt from state approved curricula but required to take NEC
    0170 De-escalation Techniques and Effective Communication Strategies within 3 months of hire.
  • Involuntary Commitment Examiner (preferred for Inpatient; required for BH Access within one year of hire).
  • Notary Public (preferred).
• Additional Skills (required): Good working knowledge of computers. Ability to care for Behavioral Health and Substance Abuse Age Specific populations.
