Overview
SMG is hiring a Medical Assistant. A 5,000 Sign on Bonus is offered to eligible candidates. The Medical Assistant performs patient care and administrative/clerical tasks based on training and competency evaluations, and as delegated by the Physician, Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant (NP/PA), Registered Nurse (RN), or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).

Work Shift: First (Days)
Responsibilities- Perform patient care tasks and administrative duties as appropriate.
- Provide a safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff; identify and address safety considerations.
- Assess situations from multiple viewpoints, consider alternatives, assist with action plans, and evaluate outcomes.
- Demonstrate development of medical assistant skills, effective inter-departmental interactions, and adherence to department and system policies, procedures, and practices.
- Be productive and efficient in daily operations and use resources that are safe, effective, ethical, and fiscally responsible.
- Education: High School Diploma.
- Certification: One of the following certifications:
- Certified Medical Assistant
- Registered Medical Assistant
- Certified Clinical Medical Assistant
- Certified EMT (EMT-B, AEMT, or Paramedic)
- BLS within 90 days of hire date
- Experience: Less than a year of related experience.
