As a Patient Care Associate (Case Manager/Benefit Specialist), you will provide an exceptional experience to patients daily, helping them navigate complex medication processes. You will manage patient cases from initiation to closure, ensuring timely, accurate, and compliant service.
Typical Day in the Life- Relationship Management
- Build trusted relationships with patients, prescribers, and stakeholders through proactive communication.
- Manage all relationships in adherence to healthcare laws and regulations.
- Communications
- Perform program welcome calls and post‑benefits investigation calls.
- Manage client inquiries and HCP inquiries per business rules.
- Inbound Call Management
- Handle inbound calls as directed by program‑approved FAQs.
- Triage patients to internal or external resources.
- Personalized Case Management
- Communicate benefit coverage and next steps to patients and HCPs.
- Leverage electronic tools to identify benefits, complete benefit investigations, and coordinate prior authorizations.
- Assist with patient assistance program enrollment and coordinate product shipment.
- Document all activities within Pharma Cord Lynk system.
- Benefit Verification
- Perform patient‑level benefit verifications for major medical and pharmacy plans.
- Complete template forms for coverage determination.
- Coordinate prior authorizations per payer guidelines.
- Patient Assistance
- Review and assess patient assistance enrollment forms for eligibility.
- Communicate eligibility to patients, providers, and pharmacists.
- Handle inbound calls, resolve issues, and report adverse events as per SOP.

- Bi‑lingual in English and Spanish or Chinese/ Mandarin is a plus
- Office‑based position; ability to sit for extended periods necessary
- Minimal flexibility to travel as needed preferred
- Willingness to work in Jeffersonville, IN (toll reimbursement provided)
- Regularly required to talk or hear; sit for long periods; use hands to type, handle, and reach.
- Must type 35 WPM with 97% accuracy.
- Standard 8.5‑hour shifts within 8:00‑11:00 AM–PM, Monday–Friday, with shift flexibility.
- Professional office environment using standard equipment (computer, phone, copier).
- Minimum 6‑month tenure before lateral or promotion consideration.
