Job Description:Addison Group is hiring an experienced Inpatient Coding Coordinator to support one of our healthcare clients in a fully remote capacity. This role serves as a bridge between coding teams and leadership, focusing on quality assurance, audit reviews, DRG accuracy, and real-time coder education. The position offers strong visibility and long-term advancement potential.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform second-level inpatient coding reviews following audits, system edits, and pre-bill findings
- Analyze DRG variances and support downgrade prevention efforts
- Educate and mentor coders on coding accuracy and compliance standards
- Respond to coding questions and complex chart scenarios
- Provide inpatient coding coverage when workflow volume requires
- Track productivity and assist with DNFC performance goals
- Stay current with ICD-10 guidelines and regulatory updates
Required:
- 3 to 5+ years of acute care inpatient coding experience
- Associate’s degree in Health Information Management or related field
- RHIT or CCS certification
- Strong analytical and communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Preferred:
- Experience with in large multi-facility health systems
- RHIA, RHIT, CCS certification, CPC is ok as well.
- Fully remote position
- Holiday rotation required; select holidays may be worked
