A Manager of Analytics in Population Health and Quality Improvement will engage in applied health services and population health research, leading complex research projects, supervising staff, and securing funding opportunities within the Ohio Colleges of Medicine Government Resource Center.
Responsibilities- Lead highly complex research tasks or projects as a co-PI or PI, as needed.
- Independently determine methods for completion of new projects.
- Develop new practices, processes, metrics, or models, providing solutions that may set precedent for the organization.
- Apply subject matter and methodological knowledge to manage a wide variety of projects.
- Provide guidance to research project and sponsor colleagues.
- Convey difficult, complex, or sensitive information, facilitating productive dialogue among stakeholders.
- Mentor colleagues in roles of manager, PI, and expert.
- Identify and secure funding for new research projects.
- Engage in project development and administration, including contracting and setting up governance structures.
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent.
Required Qualifications- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience with a bachelor’s degree, or 3 years with an advanced degree in a related field.
- Successful completion of a background check.
- May be asked to complete a pre‑employment physical including a drug screen.
- Experience leading teams in qualitative, survey, or mixed‑methods research.
- Demonstrated research independence via peer‑reviewed publications or leadership on funded research projects.
- Experience working with health‑related state agencies.
- Advanced expertise with statistical programming, survey instrumentation, or qualitative study design and analysis.
