Divisional Activity Coordinator

We are looking for 3 enthusiastic, compassionate, and creative Activity Coordinators to join our dedicated teams (
Magnolia/Rowan and Mulberry Ward
) mental health inpatient wards within Farnham Road Hospital.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting the recovery and wellbeing of adults living with mental health conditions. The successful candidate will play a key role in planning, organising, and delivering a range of meaningful therapeutic and recreational activities that promote engagement, confidence, and emotional wellbeing for our service users.
As an Activity Coordinator, you will work closely with the multidisciplinary team – including nurses, occupational therapists, psychologists, and support staff – to create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating ward environment that supports recovery and enhances quality of life.
Applicants must have the right to work in the UK, as this role is not eligible for UK visa sponsorship.
Main Duties of the Job- Organise, lead, and promote interest in recreational activities in an inclusive, stimulating, and safe environment.
- Ascertain and interpret group interests, evaluate equipment and facilities, and adapt activities to meet individual participant needs.
- Explain principles, techniques, and safety procedures to participants in recreational activities, and demonstrate use of materials and equipment.
- Develop positive relationships with participants.
- To adopt a pragmatic and non-judgemental approach.
To provide structured opportunities for people to relax and socialise.

Person Specification Education- NVQ level 3 in a health related subject
- NVQ level 2 in a health related subject and extensive patient facing experience
- Care Cert
- Experience motivating others in a health care setting
- Group facilitation
