This remote, full‑time position (40‑hour week) focuses on delivering comprehensive DBT care to clients, including individual therapy, skill‑group facilitation, and ongoing consultation.

Key Responsibilities- Adhere to the DBT model in all clinical work within the DBT program.
- Provide individual DBT therapy to assigned clients.
- Lead or co‑lead DBT skills groups (mindfulness, emotion regulation, distress tolerance, interpersonal effectiveness).
- Offer between‑session coaching and phone support consistent with DBT principles.
- Participate in weekly DBT consultation team meetings to maintain fidelity to the DBT model.
- Work effectively with clients presenting high‑risk behaviors, including self‑harm, suicidality, and severe emotional dysregulation.
- Conduct initial assessments/intake interviews to assess clients’ mental health diagnoses and needs.
- Develop, implement, and maintain individualized treatment plans based on clinical experience and knowledge.
- Provide individual, family, couples and/or group therapy sessions.
- Utilize evidence‑based therapeutic modalities and interventions to help clients reach their therapeutic goals.
- Collaborate with a forward‑thinking team to provide holistic care.
- Complete ongoing documentation and maintain accurate and confidential client records.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and training.
- Adhere to professional standards and ethical guidelines.
- Attend weekly staff meetings and weekly 1:1s.
- Licensed to practice in CA (LMFT, LCSW, LPC, or equivalent). Two years of experience is a plus but not required.
- DBT certification or formal DBT training; or ability to start DBT training immediately upon hire.
- Credentialed with insurance payors is a plus but not required.
- Ability to bring clients is a big plus but not required.
- Master's degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or related field.
- Proven experience in mental health counseling or therapy, including treatment planning, diagnosis, and documentation.
- Appropriate boundaries with clients and colleagues and strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- High cultural competence and ability to work with diverse client populations.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Proficient in Office 365 and EHR systems (Valant) is a plus.
- Base yearly salary range: $85,000 – $115,000 (depending on qualifications and client caseload).

To qualify for the higher end of the salary range, applicants must demonstrate supervisory ability per BBS requirements and/or transition clients from their current practice to Ellie Mental Health.
This is a remote position with a minimum of 25 client hours per week of face‑to‑face care, plus additional hours dedicated to documentation, meetings, outreach, and professional development.
