• Verify insurance coverage of hospital patients and assist with billing concerns
• Process third-party insurance claims and ensure timely payment of account balances
• Utilize various systems for billing claims, scrubbing claims, and managing rejections
• Maintain work queues, documenting all actions and follow-ups on accounts
• Assist in training of Insurance Specialists and adhere to safety guidelines

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a medical office, medical business office, or insurance industry
• High School Diploma or equivalent strongly preferred
• AAHAM or CRCR Certification required
• Strong written and verbal communication and math skills
• Ability to work with minimal to no supervision

• Working knowledge of medical insurance plans and medical terminology
• Proficiency with MS Office
• Knowledge of EPIC software
• Proven track record of leadership ability
