Work Schedule:
3 x 12‑hour shifts per week (some flexibility).
Hours:
1900‑0700. Full‑time, Non‑Exempt.
This Clinical Pharmacist position provides pharmaceutical care to patients in the NICU, PICU, CICU, ED and inpatient units as needed, consistent with the goals and objectives of the hospital and the pharmacy department. The pharmacist must review all drug orders, judge the appropriateness of those orders, identify and resolve drug‑related problems, and oversee supportive personnel. Pharmacists are expected to focus their knowledge and experience on the assessment and improvement of patient care, be cognizant of medication‑related safety risks, and resolve or escalated problems in a timely manner.
Role may allow for remote work based on departmental needs at management discretion.

Responsibilities- Prepares and dispenses medication orders per physician request according to established policies, procedures, and protocols.
- Ensures safe, appropriate, cost‑effective medication therapies for patients according to established policies, procedures, and protocols.
- Contributes to the quality and effective operation of the department.
- Maintains competence required for current job title/position.
- Bachelor's Degree in pharmacy from an accredited school. No experience necessary; on‑the‑job training provided.
- Licensed Pharmacist – MO. Employees must obtain Licensed Pharmacist – MO or equivalent within 90 days.
- Licensed Pharmacist – KS only if primary work location is in Kansas; required 90 days.
- Specialty Certification Preferred upon hire.
- Must be willing to float to areas of the hospital as needed and directed by management.

Starting PayPay begins at $57.81 per hour and may be adjusted based on education and experience.
Remote WorkPosition is not eligible to work remotely. The person hired will be required to work onsite at one of the Children's Mercy locations.
