Healthcare Administration, Medical Receptionist
Admit, transfer and discharge patients on one or more inpatient units. Receive and assist patients, visitors and staff providing excellent customer service. Answer patient calls in a professional manner. Process physician's orders and referrals. Respond to emergent situations in a calm, correct, and professional manner. Record and coordinate patient appointments and tests. Procure supplies, equipment and services for patients. Maintain census information.
Assist in the training of new unit clerks, and orient staff to new policies and procedures.

- Work Schedule 11:30 pm - 7:30 am
- Includes rotating weekends and holidays.
- Must be able to complete a 4 week - 40 hour/weektraining program consisting of at leasttwo weeks training on Day Shift (7:15 AM - 3:45 PM) before transitioning to night shift.

Union AffiliationThis position is covered under the collective bargaining agreement between the U-M and the Service Employees International Union (SEIU), which contains and settles all matters with respect to wages, benefits, hours, and other terms and conditions of employment.
