The Commercial Directorate has an exciting opportunity for a full time Operational Team Leader role for the Private Patient Services based across our main sites . This is a great development opportunity if you are looking to develop your career further within an NHS organisation and specifically within the private patient field. The role is hugely varied and offers a focus on team development, advanced patient co-ordination in a business environment that provides income to reinvest into the NHS.

The Private Patient Operational team are based within offices at the JR, Churchill and NOC.
Main duties of the jobThe post holder will be a highly motivated and experienced individual in the service sector, ideally with past knowledge about the private practice business or with a specific enthusiasm to learn. You will possess team management experience, an enthusiasm to provide a great service to patients and clinical teams, as well as an excellent attention to detail.
The post holder will manage the team of Private Patient Co-Ordinators to achieve high standards of patient bookings, as well as collect upfront payments and ensuring complete authorisation for all private episodes of care. You will co-ordinate the patient episodes with the divisional teams to ensure all activity goes to plan efficiently and effectively. You will liaise with consultants and clinical teams to enable simple and effective processes for enabling private care.
You will work with the Private Patient Finance Team Leader and team to co-ordinate effective billing processes and handle patient and staff queries.
