Join our Billing & Revenue Cycle Management team as a Remote Patient Billing Representative, where you’ll play a key role in helping patients understand their medical bills and navigate their financial responsibilities. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong customer service background, a naturally upbeat personality, and a desire to grow within the medical billing field. A medical background is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate.
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:30 PM (option for 30- or 60-minute lunch)
Location: 100% Remote (Must work AZ time zone; AZ alternates between MT and PT)
Key Responsibilities- Serve as the primary point of contact for patients regarding billing questions, payment plans, and account inquiries.
- Clearly explain charges, insurance processes, and outstanding balances in a patient-friendly manner.
- Document all patient interactions accurately within the billing system.
- Collaborate with internal billing and revenue cycle teams to ensure timely and accurate account resolution.
- Maintain a high level of professionalism, empathy, and positivity in every patient interaction.
- Handle a high volume of inbound and outbound calls with a bubbly, engaging, customer-focused approach.
- Follow department procedures while ensuring confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA guidelines.
- Demonstrate excellent reliability and consistency in attendance and performance.
Compensation & Benefits: Compensation $18.00 - $21.00 per hour plus benefits
Requirements- Must be able to work on the Arizona time zone schedule (AZ alternates every 6 months between MT and PT).
- 100% remote work capability with a quiet, secure workspace and reliable internet.
- Strong customer service skills with an outgoing, bubbly, and positive personality.
- High level of reliability and professionalism.
- Medical or billing background preferred, but not required—training provided.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Comfortable navigating computer systems, multi-tasking, and learning new software.
