Position: Speech-Language Pathologist (Part Time) - Imperial Valley

As a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP), you will support infants and toddlers (ages 0-3) with developmental delays through comprehensive evaluations and individualized weekly therapy services. You’ll work closely with families to promote communication, connection, and confidence during the most critical years of development. What You ll Be Doing:
Tasks, Duties, and Responsibilities

Assessment & Evaluation

  • Review collateral and intake information provided for each child.
  • Evaluate each child’s level of speech, language, and/or swallowing functioning using developmentally appropriate assessment tools.
  • Complete intake paperwork, evaluations, assessments, reports, and individualized treatment plans in collaboration with children and their families.

Care Planning & IFSP Development

  • Assist in the development and ongoing implementation of the Individual Family Service Plan (IFSP).
  • Ensure therapy goals and interventions align with IFSP outcomes and family priorities.

Direct Service Delivery

  • Schedule, plan, and conduct home-based visits with assigned families to carry out treatment plans and IFSP goals.
  • Provide therapy services in family homes and other natural community environments.

Collaboration & Communication

  • Maintain ongoing communication with families and members of the interdisciplinary () team to coordinate services and ensure continuity of care.
  • Partner with caregivers to provide education, coaching, and support related to communication development.

Documentation & Compliance

  • Prepare, collect, and maintain accurate educational files, case notes, records, and documentation, including information from outside agencies.
  • Ensure all documentation meets program, regulatory, and agency standards.

Resources & Community Engagement

  • Conduct research related to families’ service needs and provide relevant resources and educational information.
  • Travel throughout the Imperial Valley to complete therapy sessions in family homes and other community-based locations.
Qualifications

What You ll Bring to the Role:
Knowledge, Skills, and Education

Licensure & Education

  • Current Speech-Language Pathology license issued by the State of California Speech-Language Pathology Board.
  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a program accredited by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
  • Holds or is eligible for the Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP).
  • Minimum of one (1) year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of pediatric experience, preferably serving children from birth to five (0-5) years of age.

Eligibility & Compliance Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older at the time of hire.
  • Must obtain criminal record clearance from the Department of Justice (DOJ).
  • Valid California Driver’s License with a safe driving record and at least two (2) years of licensed driving experience.
  • Must maintain current and adequate auto insurance.
  • Must obtain CPR and First Aid certification if not currently certified (training provided for new hires).

Language & Technical Skills

  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Outlook for documentation and communication.
