Clinical Educator and Quality Lead
The purpose of this role is to strengthen the clinical skills, quality and safety of Hospice at Home and the End-of-Life Care Together Integrated Hub. Nurse educators combine clinical expertise and a passion for teaching. This role provides visible clinical leadership, education and quality oversight.

Hours:37.5 hours per week
Work Pattern:Monday to Friday, with the flexibility to work occasional weekends where required by the service.
Location:Various Bases across North Nottinghamshire
Main duties of the jobYou will:
Design, implement, evaluate and revise clinical education for registered and unregistered staff. You will support staff to deliver evidence based, person centred care in a changing health care environment.
Lead on key quality functions. This includes clinical audit, incident and complaint learning, service improvement, reporting, and support for research activity in Hospice at Home and the Hub.
Play a key part in CQC readiness and ongoing compliance. You will help ensure that education, practice and evidence align with regulatory and local quality standards.
Deputise for the Service Lead when required.
Support coordination of the Hub and Hospice at Home within an agreed level of responsibility.

Beaumond House Hospice Care is a registered charity. We provide four In-patient beds, Day Therapy, and Hospice at Home Care. Hospice at Home supports people with palliative and end of life care needs, often in the last weeks and months of life. Our nurses and health care assistants provide assessment, personal care, emotional support, advice, and advance care planning in the persons preferred place of care.
We are contactable 24 hours a day, 7 days per week, to provide a friendly ear, general information or to signpost patients, relatives and carers to appropriate resources and services.

Job responsibilitiesMain Duties
Clinical Education
Lead the initiation and implementation of evidence-based nursing practice in Hospice at Home and the Integrated Hub.
Provide evidence-based nursing input into the formation and review of departmental policies and procedures.
Plan, deliver and evaluate clinical education and training programmes for registered and unregistered staff, in partnership with service leads.
Complete supervised practice of staff within the clinical area. Identify concerns, support development plans and elevate when needed.
Work with leads from each service area and the management team to identify training needs and annual training plans.
Support the delivery of mandatory and statutory education, orientation and induction for clinical staff.
Maintain, evaluate and develop orientation and induction programmes for all clinical roles.
Liaise with other hospices and education providers to develop programmes that advance nursing practice.
Foster effective working relationships with university partners. Make sure the needs of student nurses and nursing associates are identified and met.
Ensure student nurses and nursing associates receive a structured, high quality placement experience, with regular evaluation and follow up.
Provide mentorship and support for staff who undertake further education and training.
Develop and deliver clinical supervision sessions for individuals and groups.
Maintain a knowledge base that reflects contemporary issues in clinical practice and end of life care.
Provide specialised advice relating to nursing care for hospice and end of life care.
Implement new policies and procedures in practice. Support staff through education when changes are introduced.
Demonstrate safe working practices in the use of equipment and maintain equipment training records for all staff.
Take part in preceptorship for newly appointed staff and in the education of learners and clinical support workers.
Quality, CQC and Governance
Lead on quality and clinical governance activities for Hospice at Home and the Integrated Hub, in partnership with the Head of Care and wider leadership.
Develop and oversee an annual clinical audit and quality plan. Coordinate data collection, analysis, feedback and action plans.
