Child and Family Focus is an nonprofit mental health organization delivering high-quality, evidence-based, recovery-oriented services to children, youth, and families. We are seeking a Medical Director who will bring thoughtful leadership and a collaborative spirit to our team. The Medical Director partners closely with program leadership and prescribers to maintain clinical excellence and regulatory compliance.
This is a flexible, part-time leadership role ideal for a psychiatrist who wants meaningful impact, strong clinical collaboration, and work-life balance.
Work Schedule10-20 hours per week with some evening work required. The position has flexibility in working hours.
Required Qualifications- Doctoral degree in Medicine (MD or DO)
- Board Certification in Psychiatry and Board Certification/Eligibility in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry
- Completion of an accredited psychiatry residency program
- Active, unrestricted psychiatric license in Pennsylvania
- DEA registration and eligibility to prescribe medication
- 3 or more years of experience working in community mental health, nonprofit, or public sector
- Prior experience providing supervision or consultation to advanced practice providers (CRNPs)
- Familiarity with school-based, early psychosis, or specialized mental health programs
- Prior experience working within multidisciplinary, team-based care models
- Provide psychiatric evaluations and ongoing medication management for individuals receiving services
- Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation in accordance with state regulations, MCO requirements, and Child and Family Focus policies
- Review, oversee, and approve psychiatric treatment plans, ensuring medical necessity and best practices
- Offer clinical consultation and supervision to prescribers and clinical staff, including CRNPs and interdisciplinary team members
- Serve as a psychiatric resource and be available for psychiatric emergencies, including limited availability outside of normal business hours as needed
- Collaborate as an integral member of a multidisciplinary treatment team, contributing to coordinated, person-centered care
- Work closely with CRNPs and Program Directors to support operations and clinical quality
- Support quality assurance initiatives, clinical outcomes, and continuous improvement efforts
- Maintain client confidentiality and privacy in accordance with HIPAA regulations
- Use and implement the 5 core values of Trauma-Informed Care in all work practices – Safety, Trustworthiness, Choice, Collaboration, & Empowerment
- Participate in regularly scheduled administrative meetings as needed
- Assigned office:
Outpatient Psychiatric Office, 2935 Byberry Road, Hatboro, PA - Work performed in a standard office environment as well as out-of-office settings to include client homes, schools, court, medical offices, and other community settings, as needed
