• Review and evaluate medical record documentation to ensure accurate coding and optimize reimbursement
• Assign and sequence ICD-9-CM and CPT codes based on medical information and hospital billing guidelines
• Provide technical guidance to physicians and staff to resolve coding-related issues and errors
• Conduct peer reviews and audits of clinical documentation to validate accuracy and compliance
• Research and analyze discrepancies in coding to implement corrective actions and prevent future errors

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required;
  Associate s Degree in Medical Billing and Coding preferred
• 2-3 years of medical coding experience required
• In-depth knowledge of medical coding systems including ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS
• Strong understanding of coding guidelines, regulations, and industry best practices
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment

• Experience in leadership or team management within a coding environment
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with healthcare providers
