We are seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Electronic Medical Records (EMR) Specialist to support the implementation, maintenance, optimization, and daily operation of electronic medical record systems in a fully remote environment. The successful candidate will work closely with clinical, administrative, and IT stakeholders to ensure accurate data management, system usability, and compliance with healthcare regulations.
This position is strictly limited to candidates who currently reside in the United States and are legally authorized to work in the U.S. Applications from individuals residing outside the United States will not be considered.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain, configure, and support EMR/EHR systems to ensure data accuracy and system reliability
- Provide technical and functional support to clinical and administrative users
- Assist with EMR implementation, upgrades, and system enhancements
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, HITECH, and other applicable healthcare regulations
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot EMR-related issues
- Support data quality initiatives, audits, and reporting requirements
- Develop and maintain EMR documentation, workflows, and training materials
- Collaborate with vendors, IT teams, and healthcare staff to optimize system functionality
- Bachelors degree in Health Information Management, Health Informatics, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum of 3–6 years of experience working with EMR/EHR systems
- Hands‑on experience with leading EMR platforms (e.g., Epic, Cerner, Meditech, Allscripts, Athenahealth)
- Strong understanding of clinical workflows and healthcare data standards
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and effectively in a remote environment
- Professional certifications (RHIT, RHIA, Epic Certification, or equivalent)
- Experience supporting multi‑site healthcare organizations
- Familiarity with data reporting, interoperability, and HL7/FHIR standards
Annual Salary Range: $75,000 – $105,000 USD, commensurate with experience, certifications, and geographic location
