- Process benefit verification or authorization for all new referrals with speed and accuracy
- Assist the AVA Supervisor and Manager with special assignments as needed
- Collaborate with the lead specialist on team quality audits
- Participate in new hire onboarding and the interview process
- Support multiple referrals and priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of two years of experience in a related field, with at least one year in a medical/healthcare role involving benefit and/or authorization with multiple payor types
- Ability to multi-task and maintain productivity expectations
- Detail-oriented with a high degree of quality focus
- Proficiency in navigating and training on multiple payor portals
- Experience in healthcare/medical billing
- Previous specialty pharmacy technician experience
- Familiarity with medical/pharmaceutical authorizations
- Experience calculating units and dosages for prior authorizations
